Black Swan

American psychological horror-thriller film by Darren Aronofsky

A story about a dancer who wanted to play the role of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, The dancer will play two roles one for the white swan and the other for the black. Nina who was the protagonist of the story struggled to fight for the role she dreams to play for a long time, now given a chance to portray it, she even struggled more, with the demon inside her cannot be revealed with her ever controlling mother who only wanted her to be pure, innocent and sweet.

The film basically depicts how a person can be her own enemy at the same time, as she fights to achieve what she ever dreamed for a long time she will have to win the battle between herself and her own demons. As true in real life  the only person standing in your way is yourself, the message of the story clearly shows even from the beginning, she was dancing as a swan queen but that is only in her dreams, the plot only revolves how she will be able to portray a role of  a blackswan if she hides like a coward in her own little world. So the battle gets more harder if the only enemy you are dealing with is you.

Mary and Max

Stop motion animated comedy-drama film, written and directed by Adam Elliot

A remarkably long distance relationship about friendship and forgiveness.

An 8 year old girl named Mary who lives in Mount Waverly Australia sent a letter to an address she randomly got in a telephone directory to make friends with someone in the united states to ask if babies in america came in a cola can? because babies in Australia came in glass of beer as what her grandpa always tells her; but it is no coincidence the mail was delivered to a 44 year old obese Jewish guy who lived alone in an apartment in New York City with a cat named hal, bird named biscuit a fish named henry, they both have something in common, both of them likes to eat chocolates,  and their favorite cartoons is noblets, and both of them has no friends.

It’s just crazy how amazing this story is, it depicts how communication can make and break a friendship all at the same time, but forgiveness can always put a hold in a strong friendship. This is what the story is all about, trusting and and understanding there is no perfect human in this world and anyone can make mistakes, but there is always a room to forgive as long as you valued your friendship so much, forgiveness can conquer all.

The Revenant

I’m pretty sure this isn’t a dramatic movie, though Hugh Glass will to survive is motivated by revenge, all I have seen in this movie is his full spirit and determination to live to kill the person who betrayed him during his suffering. I’m sure Leonardo Di Caprio has given superb justice to his role and that puts him on the nomination in the academy and won him Oscars without him talking that much just full emotions on his face, from trying not to get caught by natives who will surely kill him, trying to survive from hypothermia, and starvation, he also have to deal with immense anger and grief he is feeling for losing his son. I think all roles have been well executed by the actors, especially the role of the antagonist that was played by many actors on the film, the story of Mr Hugh Glass is very compelling, and it has depicted so much poignancy as the story progresses.

It is over

Why it hurts so bad when I knew all along we have no plans for each other? Why it hurts so bad when we both ignoring each other? But it hurts even more knowing I am more than willing to be a Fool for him.

Am I hurting because I felt so much for him?
Or I’m just hurting because he hit my Ego with a punch.

I may have many questions that cannot be answered, in the end I still need to leave the past behind me and move on, after all there is nothing else to do but to end a story that has no happy ending.

When all the bad and hurtful words has been stated, and you realize nobody wants to listen to your story anymore. When you’ve grown tired with your anxious feelings that has ripped your life apart,
and when you realized how you put so much effort to even spend time talking about all the nonsense shit you have been through.
You already have moved on.

Moving on isn’t just the last stage of your misery, but the beginning of your realization about how stupid and immature you were during that process. All the wasted time hurting, figuring why it has happened and why you let it consume your life. You really are moving on.

You know it is over once you accept that it cannot be revived, and there’s no hope it will have a happy ending. You know it is over, when you don’t long for that person to come back after your loss, sometimes you will learn how to accept that all painful endings are part of the healing.

Being stupid and immature in-response to what happened to your life is normal, we get confused sometimes, and don’t know what to do at first. It’s okay, we are not ready all the time, but of course it isn’t okay to stay on that stage for long, we face challenges in life, we might not well be equipped in dealing with it by a surprise attack, or abrupt decisions, but if you will help yourself to fight it, that means you want a different chapter in your life.

All story has its ending, even all the hurt you have felt for the person who has turned their back on you will end, you cannot do anything about the feelings that has died a natural cause, there are things that cannot be revived if it’s dead you know it’s over, when it’s over, claim your happiness back, that is your reward, in every death of feelings of despair, there comes your peace and your new life, don’t turn your back, never again, keep moving on and live for the better.

The boy in the striped pajamas

boy in the striped pajamas

Holocaust film will sure give you hate with Nazis and will absolutely make you cry, but this one is different, though it will not change how  cruel World War II was with the Jews, but sure this film will give you hope somehow,  hope to hang on to something that is next to impossible. pure innocence of two boys that lives totally opposite with each other, but bonds them together with friendship. the film is very engaging, but of course you will hope for the better, the only problem with this film, is like it is begging for me to cry in the end, since the film is melodramatic you expect tears from the audiences, but how will you expect an 8 year old boy will be able to get away from purely innocent decision he made? well yes he isn’t Kevin in home alone that can get away from two bandits and was able to outsmart them, so you expect something will not go well in this movie, hope will surely die as the film ends.

The chain that binds our feet in our past

In life we experience to fail others by our wrong actions, but sometimes they are the ones who offend us, and for some reasons we also fail to forgive them. But why people choose to let go of the hurt and choose not to forgive.

Sin cannot be measured by its weight, or anything you can think of, regardless if it’s just a word or rumor you spread, violent act of murder, petty larceny, or what some people referred as white lies, all untowardness is a sin, any act that could or would harm someone is indeed a sin. But it doesn’t mean the offender doesn’t deserve to have a second chance or forgiveness, we have this conception of untowardness to others when it is great offense they can never be forgiven, and because you only did small offense it is justifiable and you are right.

Pride, according to the American Heritage Dictionary is a proper and justified self respect, a conceit of arrogance. In other words, it is an indulgence of self importance in which all of us gained and developed since we reached the state of our consciousness; pride may help us somehow in dealing with life’s battle, but on the other hand it will also cause us to fall from where we thought we stood, pride is a symbol of failing to accept and being humble, pride is a sign of arrogance and hatred, an angel fell from heaven because of pride, in other words it is in itself a sin.

When we struggle so much in life we tend to harden our hearts as a defense to protect our grounds, we build walls around it, put guards to prevent future attacks from anyone, we have this notion that these walls would keep us from being hurt again, but we are all human, whether we like it or not we will struggle, we will be hurt by circumstances, others opinion, decisions, or actions it is normal, we cannot prevent things from happening, what matters is how we respond to the situations we face every day. We can have an unforgiving heart or we can open our hearts for forgiveness.

What happens in the past will remain in the past, whether we forgive or not, but if you want to stay in the past is also a decision you make, what keeps us from moving are the chain that binds our feet from starting a new life; hate, bitterness and revengeful mind will not make us a better person, it will only cause us more to suffer, and hurt more while we breathe, it is like cutting your source of life. It isn’t easy to forgive; I know that, it isn’t easy to allow the person who offended you to be given a chance, but we are all sinners, how can we not forgive, we also need forgiveness. When you hate, you only allow yourself to be a slave in your past mistakes, and the mistake of others.

Using pride as a shield is not bravery in fact, it is cowardness; remember offending is easier than forgiving, because forgiving requires great strength and understanding, forgiveness is not an agreement of their wrong actions towards you, although it needs a lot of effort to do so, this must be done and understand. Forgiveness is not a weakness because it requires great strength. We are all sinners in this world and all of us needs forgiveness from God, we are not innocent people who knew nothing but pride, we all know if we won’t forgive we can’t receive forgiveness from him.

Let us not treat pride as if it’s a friend that we can depend in times of trouble like this. We don’t need to rationalize everything just to make a point in not forgiving. We are all human beings raised in one particular place capable of offending and capable of being offended, in other words capable of sin. But being real human is not to keep ourselves drown with bitterness, If we can make ourselves fall, we can also make ourselves rise from that fall

Pride will push us down, and if we let it manifest in our system we might not rise at all. If we keep on reasoning and questioning; then no one will ever be forgiven.

Remember vengeance is in God’s hands not ours.

True forgiveness is humility and acceptance, erasing the past behind us and move on to the next phase of your life. Accept what has happened and find reason to heal and learn from the mistake of others and yours.

“You can’t correct someone’s mistake by getting even or settling scores with them. But at least you can choose the right or justifiable response to their wrong doings towards you and that defines you as a person.

We all encounter different kinds of transgressions if we are not the sinner; we are the victim of their sin. Remember that life is a journey and this world is our road to perdition. We should be aware of that; and the only way for us to redirect that road to the higher ground is first we must ask forgiveness from God for our sins, and we should learn to forgive those who sin against us.

As what I said Sin cannot be measured by how it was done; we should note that all unrighteousness is a transgression; anyone who does what is wrong is an offense. Men are prone to classify sin as little or great, whether it is black or gray, mortal or venial. To God, all sin is offensive and objectionable.

Forgiveness is immeasurable, just like sin, but it can conquer all of our wrong doings; it is indeed justice, it is light as a feather but it is so powerful that any faults can be defeated. It is grace of God, it is humbling and strength, it is God’s gift, it is written, and it is priceless.

Therefore he who knows what is right will do right and the right thing to do is to forgive
