No one ever says I’m GOOD ( Does it matter?)

we want to be appreciated, recognized for our work and achievements, so for us to gain more self-esteem, and that self-esteem is the key to motivate us to do best or greater work in the future, that is in its sense the fuel that keeps us burning inside. The question is do we really need to be recognized and appreciated to be fueled up and go on with our lives?

Most people love to gain attention, but in most cases, attention only finds you when you did something wrong, and the person who caught you making mistakes will anoint attention, that sure will drive them crazy, like hell!!! These people often make you feel really bad and useless, but does it matter?

Not all people will appreciate your effort, you can’t expect anyone’s appreciation all the time unless what you’re doing or your actions would be beneficial for them, praises are sometimes not meant to encourage or boost confidence, most of the time it means no substance at all, they seem so flattering and really overwhelming, but how’s fake appreciation helps you mentally anyway?

If nobody ever says you’re good or if you strongly believe no one has appreciated you, don’t feel bad, sometimes disappointments and failures come because we are the ones who don’t appreciate ourselves, approval of someone doesn’t matter, it only matters when you are trying to please someone else, especially if you’re trying to impress a person only then their approval matters, but trying to please someone is totally a different story, and I think that will affect you mentally if you find rejections from them, so better focus on what you can do better for yourself alone.

Being appreciated is something we all want to hear when we did something good, but if no one has don’t let this make you feel useless, and don’t let it break you, remember, you are doing all the hard work for yourself, not because of people’s approval or their praises, if they think you’re not good enough don’t let it pull you down, sometimes people are just too ignorant to see the gracefulness of your hard work in getting things done.

You can stop and rest in the meantime, try to contemplate, and ask yourself does it really matter if I’m not appreciated? or better ask this question am I appreciative too? it can be very hurtful if we are not recognized with the things we do all the time, but there is nothing hurtful if you are doing things that make you really happy and fulfilling, only then you understand no appreciation or there is, won’t matter anymore, if they have, then that’s the bonus you get randomly.

  1. Part of the solution is also avoid the tendency to compare yourselves with others which is often self-defeating. God gave each of us individual talents and cultivating and getting satisfaction out of our efforts with those gifts regardless of the feedback of others is what is meaningful. Thanks for your post.

  2. An interesting discussion is price comment. I think that you need to write extra on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject however generally persons are not enough to talk on such topics. To the next. Cheers
